GIOVINAZZO, BARI

Giovinazzo is a town in the metropolitan city of Bari, in Puglia.

The town has an important fishing port.
One legend has it that it was Perseus, son of Zeus, to found 'Jovis natio'.

To see the '' Arch of Trajan "of Roman times; Cathedral Santa Maria Assunta of the XII century in Romanesque style; the church Santa Maria of Constantinople in the sixteenth century; and many other churches of different eras, and then palaces, squares and alleys of exceptional charm.

In summer the city held an important musical moment the Giovinazzo Rock Festival.
